The brief

A kitchen that swallowed every bit of light it was given, heavy wood, dark counters, and a layout that fought the cook.

The approach

Lightened everything: white cabinetry, a butcher-block-topped island to keep it warm, and a pantry wall that finally pulls its weight. Kept the footprint, changed the entire mood.

The outcome

The brightest room in the house instead of the one you hurried out of.
