The way I work
A symmetrical room is a polite room. I’d rather a space tell the truth — weighted where the living actually happens.
Balance, not matching.
Yin and yang. Cognac across from gunmetal. Trees grow where they need to grow — they figure out their own counterweight, and so does a room.

There’s no universal formula — that’s the whole point. I design the one that fits the way you actually live.
