The brief

A blank bedroom and a girl with a strong point of view. She wanted drama without it going dark, and a room that still felt like hers at fifteen.

The approach

Put the whole personality on one wall: a large-scale floral mural in charcoal, ivory, and blush. Everything else stayed soft and simple so the wall could carry it. Blush pintuck bedding, a white dresser under a brass round mirror, a globe light, and her name in marquee letters over the door.

The outcome

A bedroom that photographs like a boutique hotel and still has a spot for the carriage lamp she's had since she was small.

The finished room

The bed and floral wall from the doorway, marquee letters spelling 'tess' above the door and a glass globe ceiling light.
A white dresser beneath a brass round mirror, a framed print, and a faux-fur stool in the corner.
The dresser top styled with a wire carriage, a letterboard, perfume, and a box, the floral wall reflected in the mirror.
A wire pumpkin-carriage lamp throwing lace shadows beside a framed quote and a childhood photo.
